Les accords cosmétiques, c'est mon truc. Ils me donnent toujours l'impression de sentir beau plutôt que de sentir bon. Alors que L'Eau Scandaleuse représentait une féminité androgyne et sauvage, Incarnata prend plutôt la direction opposée. Celle de la féminité archétypale poussée à l'extrême, nimbée d'un nuage de poudre de riz parfumée à l'iris.

I love cosmetic accords. A lot. They always make me feel like I smell beautiful rather than just 'good'. While L'Eau Scandaleuse was a wild and androgynous kind of feminity, Incarnata takes the opposite direction. Archetypal femininity stripped to its core, with an aura of iris-fragranced rice powder.

Héliotrope Blanc de L. T. Piver est né en 1850, et est encore aisément trouvable. Prenons quelques instants pour considérer une telle anomalie, un tel déluge de poudre, de fleurs à moitié fânées et d'amande toxique, avant qu'elle ne disparaisse définitivement comme tant d'autres.

Héliotrope Blanc was created by L. T. Piver in 1850, and is still in production. I'm going to let that sink in for a moment. Let's take a few moments to consider such a miracle, such an opulent rain of powder, flowers and almond, before it disappears forever like so many other great fragrances.

Alors qu'un printemps d'une chaleur déjà insoutenable s'est écrasé sur Dijon, je continue mon exploration de la gamme Al Faransi. Parmi toutes les références que j'ai eu le plaisir d'échantilloner jusqu'à maintenant, Hind reste ma préférée. 

Un ambré à la fois puissant et délicat, d'une complexité rare, riche, décadent, et au développement surprenant.
